The Sycamore house occupies a National Register property overlooking historic Main Street in old town Bay St Lois. Originally a pair of 19th century Acadian cottages, the sides of The Sycamore House were combined into a single dwelling in the 1850’s. The home was long known as the Mauffray Boarding House after the Mauffray family who took in seasonal visitors. Today the cottage is home to a fully modern restaurant whose two dining rooms, screened porch and patio area, are in tune with its laid-back historic atmosphere.

This historic address features fresh seafood, savory steaks, and favorite local dishes served with a special flavor of the area. Patrons can also enjoy the "Hurricane Hunter Bar" for specialty drinks and cordials. he 100 Men Hall is an historic Blues music venue on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The Hall, as it is locally known, was a stop on the Chitlin' Circuit in the 1930's - 60's and hosted several well-known artists including, Etta James, Deacon John, Big Joe Turner, Guitar Slim & numerous others. In 2011, The Hall received a Blues Trail Marker from The Mississippi Blues Commission and became a 501(c)3 fund of the Hancock Community Development Foundation. In June 2011 The Hall was resurrected as a live music venue and has recently hosted Little Freddie King, Walter "Wolfman" Washington, The Homemade Jamz Band, Howl-N-Madd Perry and others. The original Bay St Louis Little Theater on Boardman Avenue was totally destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. After five years, the Little Theatre will finally have a permanent home. The BSLLT was founded in the living room of John and Mary Bell in 1946. In 1948, local physician, Dr. Emmet Erwin, donated land located on Boardman Avenue to the Little Theatre. The membership then bought two war-surplus barracks from the Seabee base in Gulfport and had them dismantled. They were shipped by barge to the Bay and reassembled. One was positioned vertically to form an auditorium, and the other attached horizontally to form the stage. The theater remained there for 57 years until the hurricane.

The Institute for Marine Mammal Studies (IMMS) is a non-profit organization established in 1984 for the purposes of public education, conservation and research of marine mammals and sea turtles in the wild and under human care. IMMS promotes public awareness of marine conservation issues through its involvement in the community and encourages the public to be good stewards of the environment.
